Services Provided: Exterior house painting
Built in 1908, this bungalow sits on a leafy street in Mt Eden. The interior and grounds had been fully renovated and modernised and it was time to bring the exterior up on par.
The home owners stated a preference for a grey palette and Helen Wilcock from Design Spec did not disappoint. Helen derived a bespoke exterior colour scheme for the bungalow, which incorporates the grey on the clients’ wish list. The subtle tonal differences also highlight the character features of the home.
One of the key challenges in this project was achieving a straight line demarcation between changes in colours (the black and white) on non-straight surfaces such as the window sills. The result was achieved using a combination of precision painting and masking tape.
I think it is important to find a painter that is organised and communicates well. Leading up to the job Ashley was incredibly organised and diligent. While the job was being undertaken Ashley was in constant communication – following up and making sure everything was being done properly and completed.
