The owners of this gorgeous Ponsonby villa were referred to us by their neighbour, whose home we had painted three years earlier.
Having had the interior of their house revamped and their landscaping beautifully created , the owners were looking forward to having the exterior of their house painted.They wanted an elegant, classic colour scheme and called on award-winning designer Peter Were, who had created the next door property's palette.
Peter’s colour scheme included five complementary colours that required precision painting. A tough job given the lines in older houses are never straight! The result is a handsome bungalow transformed to match its pretty neighbour. A joy to savour for people lucky enough to drive/ walk past these two houses.
"Being given the opportunity to consult in exterior colouring of two neighbouring independent properties is a rare event - and one I relished!
The “handsome” scheme for this property eschews the “grey on grey” palette prevalent in current colouration. The base grey tones are offset with light tan highlights to pop against the umbral tones and inject a hint of warm masculinity. Together, they create a unique and unfamiliar – yet successful – combination of colours.
Having worked with Wall Treats on a number of residential and commercial projects over the last few years, this project was another opportunity to engage with consummate painting professionals who deliver what they promise in terms of quality, finish, and client (and consultant!) liaison."
